The Laboratory of Visual Anthropology was established in 2009. It covers an area of 60 square meters and possesses high definition camera equipments, non-linear editing system, and mini camera..., etc. The laboratory also collected over 200 documentaries and around 20 visual ethnographic documents filmed domestically and internationally.
The laboratory provides a practical teaching platform for all majors' class teaching and personnel training. It also supports teaching and research work of faculties, undergraduate and graduate students.
The laboratory offers classical anthropological films for students, which not only broadens their perspective and knowledge scope, but also develops their filming techniques. At the same time, the laboratory also collect and produce ethnographic materials.
The Visual Anthropology Laboratory aims to build up as a top-ranking visual anthropological laboratory in western China.
